Independent Reading Book Blog Post

I am currently reading The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. I love Nicholas Sparks' books. They are the only books I really enjoy reading. They are always interesting and romantic, yet, there is always a source of evil. The quote I chose is, "And then he was gone, leaving her with the certainty that whatever the consequences, her life had already been irrevocably altered in ways she'd never imagined possible." This quote absolutely fascinates me. It leaves such a mysterious feeling in me every time I read it. At this point, Amanda and Dawson have just reunited in their old friend, Tuck's, house for the first time since high school. This is the point when they really start to examine each other and notice the differences. Here, it is saying that Dawson entering her life again has already made such a big impact. This also implies that there is more to come in the rest of the book. I am excited to find out what that is.

What makes an individual powerful?

An individuals power depends on the person them self. Power is not something you are born with; you must want it and gain it. Power is depended upon the surroundings you are in and the people you are with. At first, Macbeth didn't want power enough to make sure he got what he wanted. I on the other hand, being the perfect wife I am, helped Macbeth make a decision to become a powerful being. I taught him that power is not handed to you. You must take control of it. Duncan was in the way of Macbeth gaining power so, being the smart women I am, I made Macbeth kill him to ensure that he really wanted all this power. Macbeth DID become king, right? I know, I know. I am just so smart!:)

Lady Macbeth

Blogging is an obstacle of the mind. There are far too many steps in this process to follow people who I will end up killing later anyway....
